WIAW~End of the Road (Trips)

I love to travel and I loved being in New Mexico, California and Atlanta, but I think I’m glad we’re finished travelling for a while.  Of course, if I walked into the other room and Ralph said, “I’m ready to go back to Silver City Right Now!” I wouldn’t argue.  That’s not going to happen so I thought that for this week’s What I Ate Wednesday, I’d give you the end of our Atlanta trip and the barest bit of getting back to real life.  Of course, WIAW is delightfully hostessed each week by Jenn at Peas & Crayons.  Be sure to visit there when you’re finished here!

Peas and Crayons

The food was very good at the Atlanta Airport Westin where we stayed.

Wonderful pasta, Portobello and edamame dish that was so good I had it Twice!

The breakfast buffet that looked pretty much the same every day (except for the day I had 2 biscuits!!)

LOTS of fruit from the same buffet.

My veggie pasta selection from the Saturday night banquet.  Very tasty but would have been better with some cheese.  😦  I requested it but didn’t get it.  The Only time that something wasn’t completed there!

Really yummy cake with lemon creme between the layers, topped with a white chocolate Americal logo.  Very cool!

On Monday when we got back, after returning our rental car we went to our local favorite restaurant, Picasso’s.  I had my usual favorite, the mixed cheese salad.

Very tasty and filling.  Ended up being both lunch and dinner!

Now I’m trying to get back to real life, however due to projects I planned for myself in the morning, I had no breakfast and lunch looked something like this…

Caramel corn rice cakes with Sunflower butter.  This is what I tend to have when I’m Really hungry and Really lazy.  I shouldn’t rely on it so much, but…I do.

So that’s the return from Road Tripping WIAW.  Next week’s addition should look a little more healthy and Weight Watcher friendly.  Be sure to head over to Peas & Crayons to check out all of the other fun food posts!

Happy What I Ate Wednesday!!  Now I have no excuse but to get to work on ALL of my projects!

    • Oh,Stacie…do I EVER need to bring out the BPB!! Gotta get back to my salads. I was really longing for one, but at the hotel restaurant where we ate most of our meals, they were SO expensive. 8. I’ve really enjoyed reading about your time in Atlanta. Peter and I are planning a trip to Georgia in a couple of months, so I’m excited by seeing the food you’ve been eating 🙂

    • Sarah, we didn’t really get to see much of the city on this trip. It’s been about 20 years since I’ve been there, but I know from keeping up with a friend who lives there that it’s an amzaing city with so much to offer. I look forward to hearing what you think!
