Today the Blogging A to Z letter is…G. I am Grateful.
I have always felt that I was a lucky person. There have been a couple of times, I won’t go into specifics, but I’ve felt that I’ve narrowly escaped disaster. The important point is that I missed it. For that I am Grateful.
After my post yesterday, my sister Ele commented that we lived charmed lives as children. I think she’s right about that. We grew up with a wonderful family. I am Grateful for such a wonderful family and the fact that I still have my sister.
I am Grateful for the friends I have. I am especially Grateful these days for the technology that allows me to be in touch with so many friends in spite of the fact that they are far away.
I am Grateful for my wonderful husband Ralph. He came into my life about 21 years ago and I thank God every day that I have been given such a gift. He is everything to me.
I am Grateful for a healthy body and a functioning mind. I try to keep my mind and my body active, two very important things to me.
I am Grateful for the gift of Books. I talked about that in the letter “B” and I talked about my Mom instilling a love of books in Me and Ele. No one needs to know that on a trip to Goodwill this morning I bought five more books. I didn’t tell you so no one knows… 😉
I am Grateful for so many things that it’s really hard to put into words. I should have thought harder about this. I guess in a way, this entire challenge has turned into me talking about the things for which I am Grateful.
I will be very Grateful if you all follow along to find out what else makes me Grateful. Actually, I’m very Grateful to have the opportunity to share my life with all of you through Broken Cookies Don’t Count. It truly is something that makes me feel like I’m doing what I should be doing…Writing.
That’s enough for now. Tomorrow will be a planned break from the Challenge. I’m excited because since we’re having our Easter dinner today, I’ll be able to share that with all of you and not have to fit it into A to Z!
Happy Saturday! I’m very Grateful for Saturday!
