D Is For Dedication With WIAW Squeezed In

This is a tricky post to figure out.   I am happily muddling through the alphabet with you on the Blogging A to Z Challenge.

And of course since it’s Wednesday, it’s also What I Ate Wednesday brought to us by the lovely Jenn at Peas & Crayons. Where we have another challenge going!

I like Dedication for my D word combined with WIAW because my dedication is to the Weight Watchers program and it has for 25 years steered my course when it comes to food.   Weight Watchers has helped make me the strong healthy person I am today.  Obsessed, maybe, but I don’t think so.  Dedicated is a better way to put it.  I follow the program every day in many ways more accurately and successfully than I did 25 years ago.  The important thing is that it worked then and it works now.  Dedicated, yeah, I like that!

Food!! Not much actually.  I’ve fallen off the food photo bandwagon this week I fear, but here are a few.

Mozzarella and tomato panini at In A Pickle.  Yummy as always and of course Ralph got the chips!

My new favorite breakfast…FiberOne topped with my crock pot apples and fat-free vanilla yogurt.  I love it!

Pepper and egg sandwich at Picasso’s.  Yes, I can be very boring!

A quickie lunch of Fiber One and Greek yogurt.  It’s a great combo!

Dinner in the making…zucchini, green bell pepper, snow peas, garlic, veggie broth, cottage cheese and shredded 2% cheese.  The black beans in the back ground didn’t make it.  When I opened them they needed to be tossed. 😦  They were replaced by baby eggplant.

So tasty and so filling.  I didn’t snack the rest of the night.  That helps with my D for Dedication and I think fulfills my extra cup of Veggies!

This is all an ongoing process.  I eat right (Dedication) I stay healthy.  That’s what it’s all about for me.

    • Cathy, it would be great to see all of the A-Z blogs. Some of them are hard to get on…very slow. Some make it almmost impossible to leave comments! Frustrating! Thanks, regarding my 25 years with WW. It’s been a worthwhile effort!

  5. Nice, dedication is something we all could use more of. Then there would be more healthy converts celebrating their 25 years of a healthier lifestyle like you….congrats!

    Have you ever tried plain yogurt mixed with pure vanilla extract and honey that you add? If not, give it a try with your cereal or all alone next time…I love it! Cinnamon is always good too!

  7. People laugh at me, but I love Fiber One too! I love it in yogurt – I gets just the right amount of soggy. 🙂

  8. I love the look of the egg sandwiches that you post. We don’t really have anything like that in the UK – egg sandwiches are usually made with boiled eggs. I will have to make one myself.
    I think dedication is a good word when it comes to weight maintenance!

  9. That is not only dedication but loyalty! I’m impressed. I turned vegetarian six months ago and couldn’t be happier. That and staying off processed foods as much as possible is the most I will do.

  10. mmmm…crock pot apples! That sounds so good with yogurt, great idea!

    • Hi Marisa, thanks for visiting! The apples are so good and so easy. Chop them up, I add cinnamon and 2 splenda packets most times, but I have used apple pie spice. A friend just told me she used pumpkin pie spice because that’s what she had and she loved it. Please stop by again!
