Not much on my mind either! But has that ever kept me from writing? Well, in the past Yes, but not so anymore! 😉
Ralph and I had several meetings on Wednesday and hadn’t really had any breakfast before hand. When we finished up at about 11:45 we were debating our food options when up popped a Dunkin’ Donuts!
As usual, I got the veggie egg white flat bread. I love this because it’s quite tasty and filling for only 7 Points for Weight Watchers and since this was breakfast/lunch it was a good choice. I usually give the coffee 4 Points because it’s really tough for me to get any of the servers to understand what I mean by “not too much” cream. It’s delicious and worth it though. Something I’m not sure will be worth it is the new grilled cheese sandwich that DD is offering. It looks good, but I looked it up on-line and it counts as 14 Points! Yikes! I tried to find out how their oatmeal counts but couldn’t find it on the website. I’ll have to try again.
More errands took us out on Thursday. We decided we needed lunch again and went to one of our regulars The Gateway Diner.
Ralph got the world’s Largest chicken pot pie! He said it was great, but too big and he had to take half of it home with him.
That’s his drawing for our waitress he’s holding.
Here’s a better view…
I should have taken another photo when he was finished, but I forgot. 😦
My lunch was my first time trying their Caesar salad.
I don’t think I’d order this again. It was Not the greatest ever. Just chopped Romaine, Greek olives and way too many croutons. It was supposed to have Parmesan cheese, but I had to ask for the shaker bottle of cheese because I sure didn’t see any cheese on it when it was served. One good thing however was the dressing. I ordered it on the side as I always do. So many times, Caesar dressing is very thick and glue like. This was thinner like dressing should be and quite tasty. I did my usual routine of dipping the fork in the dressing first, then spearing the salad. That’s an old Weight Watchers trick that has served me well for many years.
This won’t keep us from going back to the Gateway, but it was just disappointing.
Not sure what’s on the agenda for today. You never know what might happen.
