Saturday Comeuppance

I know what comeuppance means and I’ve used it in conversation.  I’ve never written it and had to check the dictionary to be sure how to spell it.  I thought it was two words making it a phrase.  Turns out it’s one word and not a happy word for me this week regarding Weight Watchers.

This week had the issue of going to dinner at my sister’s house, where I felt I did well.  It also had Valentine’s Day.  I went out for lunch but chose wisely.  However, my sweet Ralph bought me a Reese’s peanut butter heart.  But that’s gone now and can’t hurt me anymore. 😉

I realize that there were 2 issues which probably contributed to my half pound weight gain, second week in a row.  I did not exercise this week.  Why?  I can not give you an answer on that, I just didn’t. I also did not drink all of my water this week.  When I was still leading WW classes, I always used to impress on my members the necessity of drinking the water.  I rarely have a problem with it.  There’s usually only an issue when we’re on a road trip. No road trip this week, so no excuse.   Again, I can’t even tell you why I didn’t drink it.

Just so you know, as I type this, I have a 32 ounce water bottle sitting next to the computer.  In the few minutes I’ve been home from class, I’ve drunk about half of it.  I’ll keep it up.

The good thing is, although I don’t know why these habits were obstacles this week, I at least know what they were.  You can’t correct it if you don’t know what the problem is.  Our leader, MaryLou gave us a motto today that I like very much.

I like that very much.  I’ve always said that Knowledge is Power and this is a great way to look at it.

I’m planning on Success this week.  Armed with the Knowledge of where my missteps were last week, I can be successful!

I’m ready for a new day to dawn, and I’m up for the challenge!

Happy Saturday!
