Our first day in Clearwater included a lot of errands, grocery shopping and getting cable service set up. But it wouldn’t be a day in Clearwater without a quick visit to Honeymoon Island State Park. It’s a place with a beautiful beach and it’s just peaceful to walk even when it’s not swimming weather.
On the way we saw a Pirate Ship! We had to wait because the bridge went up for the ship!
A group of trees on Honeymoon Island.
And even More Shells! I got so many beautiful shell photos. I won’t share them all right now but I will share more with you. The sun was so bright that I wasn’t sure how the photos would come out. I was so glad when they came out well!
Lunch was a familiar stop…Taco Bell
It wouldn’t be Clearwater without a trip to a thrift store…first day…first thrift store…
With a thrift store comes treasures!!
Two rice ware bowls at 79 cents each and three of the spoons at 59 cents each! I was so excited!
Gail and I took a long walk in the afternoon. We’re going to try to do that every day. We both need more exercise.
Dinner was at the Island Outpost in Dunedin.
One thing I can say for this restaurant is that you shouldn’t leave hungry. I ordered the vegetable fajitas.
So big it takes two photos! It was delicious! The only problem was that we were outside and it was freezing!! We survived.
I’ll leave you with one more shell photo…
Happy Friday the 13th!!
