Late morning on Friday, Ralph suggested we go to lunch and then promptly took a nap! I had some things to do, last-minute packing and such, so I was glad he was busy napping. When he woke up, we headed out to lunch.
Our destination? Let’s see if you can tell from these pictures…
A pretty Christmas tree…
Look closely and you’ll see that it is covered with Pickles! Yes, Ralph and I were back at In A Pickle. It was very busy since it was Friday. I also decided to eat something I wouldn’t usually eat on a Friday. Since I’m not weighing in at Weight Watchers tomorrow, I could be a little more flexible.
I had a tomato and mozzarella panini. I asked for them to add sharp provolone cheese and it was delicious! The bread was toasted well. I, of course did not eat the chips. In fact as of today, it is nine months that I have not eaten chips. I’m very happy that I’ve made that decision. I decided that I really couldn’t control chips and so I should stop eating them altogether. I think it was a good decision.
Of course, Ralph did a drawing for our waitress.
In case you can’t read it, the pickle is saying “…the Judge said it’s a suspended sentence.” It’s typical Ralph humor. He makes me laugh.
Just as we were getting home, the UPS man drove up. He handed me a box.
I received a bottle of Stevia Vanilla liquid, 50 packets of Stevia and a container of MoreFiber which adds fiber and sweetness to baked goods. Possibly the most exciting thing is that they sent along a collection of recipes that will allow me to get the most out of my prize. I really am excited. I’ve never won any of the giveaways I’ve entered. I guess now I’ll have to do some baking for the holidays! 😉
That’s my Friday. By the time you read this, I’ll be on my way to the airport, on my plane or in Maine. Gail, Alice and I are going to see the cabin that Gail bought and go to settlement. I will do my best to post over the weekend, but I’m not sure what my availability of internet access will be. I’m sure to have lots of photos to show when I get back.
Everyone have a wonderful weekend!!
