Good Day Saturday

Up and out early to go to my Weight Watchers meeting.  I had tried hard all week but in the back of my mind, I still wasn’t sure what my result would be.  I was one of the first people at the WW center and sadly, there were computer problems.  I wanted to take off my shoes, get on the scale and know the result.  However the computer thought I needed to be taught patience so I had to wait for about 10 minutes while the pesky machine decided it would work.  I don’t envy my friends at WW right now.  They’re always having computer issues.  But when the machine decided I had waited long enough, I got on and…I lost 2 pounds!!

I was very happy about this.  I did work hard, more hard work awaits me this week.  I’m up for the challenge! 🙂

After WW, I had to head to my sister Ele’s church.  Saturday was Rummage Sale day!  I never eat before WW so I was prepared for that.  I stopped to get coffee for the two of us and I had this little baby tucked in my purse…

A lemon zest Lunabar.  I really like these.  When I dug this out of the cupboard, I realized that my stash of bars if mighty low.  With a trip coming up next week, I need to restock so I have some good choices to take with me.  Hope something is on Sale!!

We had a good day at the Rummage Sale.  I love working with Ele to help raise money for the church.  Even though I’m not a member, it makes me feel good helping because the church really needs the money.  It wasn’t our highest total day, but it was a good one.  We had customers right up until closing.  We’ve been very lucky that so many people are being generous with their donations.  Besides, by working there, I get first look at all the choice deals!! 😉

By the time we were finished at 2pm, Ele and I were starving.  Ralph had told me to call him just before we were finished.  I had a good idea why.  He wanted to take us to lunch.  We all headed for Picasso’s.  You all know that I tend to be boring with my food choices.  No surprise here…

My eternal favorite…the pepper and egg sandwich!  I usually get it with American cheese, but I asked if they had the sharp provolone cheese and they did!  It added a nice nippy taste to the sandwich.  I think that’s my choice from now on!

I have to admit that I got a little out of control after coming home.  Ralph stopped and without asking, picked up some chocolate chip mint ice cream.  But in my defense, I calculated the points and counted it all.  Just in case you want to know…a 14 ounce container of Haagen Dazs mint chocolate chip ice cream is 28 Points on the WW program.  I’m just sayin’…but I counted it…

This is actually important. It means I’m paying attention and being accurate.  So many times on Saturday I say to myself “I weighed in today…I don’t have to count anything.”  That’s a big mistake and sets a bad tone for the upcoming week.  I’m not going to let that happen again.  Especially since I won’t be able to weigh in on Saturday this coming week.  I’ll be doing it on Thursday.  I need to be ON TRACK!!

That’s my theme for the week…On Track and On The Go!  Which is what I need to do now.  I’m working on a special project today and I would like to have it completed early….something good!

It’s sunny and clear here even though it’s cold.  I love days like this!

Happy Sunday!

  1. Yeah, but…it was mint chocolate chip ice cream. So it was worth it. 😉 Back on the wagon!

  2. We actually have some mint chocolate chip ice cream in our freezer right now that we’re almost at the end of, and I’m debating the next variety when we hit the supermarket. I can’t not have ice cream in the house…even when it’s 30 degrees out!

  3. Luna Bars definitely are quick and easy snackage 🙂

  4. Congrats on your weightloss this week and I’m sure that next weight in will be good too if you keep up the great work you know it will show.

  5. is that a mini luna bar? i love those! it’s small enough that i can have another snack a couple of hours later, and consider them both together to be breakfast. i like eating more frequently, especially on work days. and i have that flavor now (along with peanut butter and white chocolate macadamia). so far, i think i like the chocolatey box better.

i miss ele’s rummage sale. hopefully i’ll be able to visit a few after my biology class is finished (IN JUST TWO MORE SATURDAYS!!!!).

  6. 2 pounds each week is great, if you lose it slowly and adjust your diet to fit the new sleek you then you will keep the weight off, if it drops off too fast it pops back on JUST as fast.. c

    • Hi Celi! Thanks for stopping by. I’m maintaining my weight at this point, I’m a lifetime member of Weight Watchers, but I put on a few pounds the last few weeks due to lack of diligence. Working to get back on top of it again! Thanks so much for your encouragement. It’s always welcome and necessary! Stop by often!!

  7. Hi,
I was interested in the Peanut butter/Cinnamon/Raisin swirl you mentioned yesterday- so I picked some up – very, very good.

  8. Congrats on your weightloss! That’s great, you should be so proud of yourself 🙂 My mom is on weight watchers, but she does it online so she doesn’t have to go to any meetings. 😛

    • Hi Brittany! I was a leader for WW for 15 years and have been on the program for 24! It is the best. I admire your Mom for doing it on-line. I personally need the meetings. Even though I’m at goal, I need that reinforcement each week. It works for me. Hope she’s doing well. Tell her I said good luck! Thanks for stopping by, please visit again!!

  9. Congrats on the loss!!!!! I love those Lemon Luna bars. So tasty!

  10. Back on track is a recurring theme in my life too. Working at a rummage sale and getting to see all the loot first, sign me up!

    • Oh, Marie, I know you would love it!! It’s the best. We’re so lucky that we’ve gotten so many wonderful donations for the sale. We keep plugging along. We’re having a clearance on the Christmas stuff in January…I’ll make you a great deal, ’cause I like you!! 😉 Come on over!
