But I Thought I Had an Appointment…

I was excited all day yesterday because I “knew” I had an appointment to get my hair cut today…  Apparently not.

I usually get a confirmation call but hadn’t gotten one.  I called and no…I didn’t have an appointment at 9:30, my stylist was not even in until 11:30! 😦  Well, I was able to get an appointment for 4pm so that will work but it messes up the flow of my day.  Huh…like I EVER have a flow to my day!

Wednesday was a pretty good day.  The days all seem to revolve around fruit lately!

I added a banana to my breakfast of Chobani Peach and Fiber One.  I hear so many bloggers talking about the joys of bananas (no puns intended) but I’ve never been a big fan.  I am adding them in though.  I also recently remembered that I used to make smoothies with bananas and I think orange juice and honey.

I think I’ll start trying that again since I have a lot of fruit to use up before I go away.  Ralph isn’t into fruit or salads as much as I am and I’ll have a lot of eating to do before I go away.  I hate allowing things to go bad.  Great for the compost pile, not so great for the budget! 😦

We made great headway at the Church in preparation for the Rummage Sale on Saturday.  It takes teamwork and it’s going well.

Spent some time over at Gail’s in the afternoon and what did we snack on…watermelon.  We’ve found several delicious ones at Sam’s and at BJ’s.  They’re seedless too which makes it even better!

Dinner again was simple and of course an effort to finish up all the veggies!

Romaine, red and orange bell peppers, plum tomatoes and Morningstar Farms Tomato Basil Pizza burgers.  The romaine I used was Dole chopped romaine in a bag that we had gotten at Sam’s.  I have to say that it tastes good, but it has a kind of funny smell.  I’m not happy with that, makes me wonder if it has pesticides on it.  I think I still like buying it fresh from the produce place.

I added some Locatelli cheese, lots of ground black pepper and some Mrs. Dash.  I used up some packets of ranch dressing that we had in the fridge.  I’m trying to use up what I have before I buy anything new.

Oh yes…back on the topic of fruit…I worked my magic on the pineapple and cantaloupe I had gotten at the produce stand over the weekend.

My late night snack was a big mixed bowl of the two.  Amazing how filling that can be.  I’m really hoping that I’m back on track enough that I will have a good result at Weight Watchers on Saturday.  We’ll see! 🙂

Busy day ahead.  I have lots of errands.  I’ll be putting in some time doing Rummage prep again.  I’m happy with the progress we’ve made.

Oh, yeah…I have to remember I have an appointment to get my hair cut…I can’t wait!

Happy Thursday!

  1. Don’t you hate it when your day is messed up? It really upsets me when my appointments don’t pan out because there is so little time as it is to get things in. I need to learn from you how to roll with things better!

Great job on the rummage prep! I hope you have a good weigh-in on Saturday. My cousin does the same thing every Saturday morning!

    • Thanks, Ameena! I used to get really frustrated. Not working has helped me become a little more flexible. Hope I can hold on to it!

WW is just the best! I worked for them as a leader for 15 years. I think it’s healthiest and most sensible of the programs available. I don’t just say that because I worked for them, I say that because the Program worked for me! Hope your cousin is doing well. I just want to stay in a free seat!!
