The morning started for me with fruit, fruit, fruit! On my last produce adventure I had bought a pineapple and a cantaloupe. They needed to ripen and now they needed to be rendered into fruit salad! Or at least fruit bits!
It really doesn’t take that much time to accomplish this and the result is so terrific.
I got a lot done in the way of sort out/clean out done yesterday. I have folding book cases on my porch/office/exercise area. I got one set disassembled and folded out-of-the-way. I sorted through 4 boxes of books and did some more purging. It was a bit of a jigsaw puzzle, but I ended up with one empty box! I have a nice pile of books to go to the Goodwill. 🙂
Dinner was simple…Salad and veggie burgers!
Delicious and filling. I made my recent favorite balsamic vinaigrette with honey. This time instead of regular honey, I used the cranberry honey I had gotten a few months back. It added an interesting twist to the flavor. I enjoyed it very much.
Later on when we got hungry, Ralph and I had a bowl of the fruits of my morning labor. Very satisfying! 🙂
This morning I had the joy of going for my mammogram and dexa scan. I don’t know any of the results yet. I was excited that when I got on their scale I was the same as I had been on the Weight Watchers scale last Saturday! 🙂 I was not happy to find when the technician measured me I was 2 and 1/2 inches shorter than I used to be! 😦 I have to make sure I stand tall, even if it’s not as tall as I used to be!
Breakfast at the Gateway Diner filled me up again!
Broccoli omelette with sliced tomatoes. I continue to be amazed at what good tomatoes they have this early in the year. I’m proud of myself for ordering that way instead of the home fries.
I promised I would not show my pedometer every day, but I need to today. I have to shame myself into doing better.
5854… 😦 That’s terrible! That’s all the steps I did on Tuesday. I vow to do better today, because I need to. Maybe if I do better on my steps the Universe will give me back that 2 1/2 inches I’ve lost. Maybe…Maybe not, but it will be good for me!!
