Saturday Is The Day!

The day for what?  I don’t know, but it might as well be the day!

Lots of work at the rummage sale yesterday.  We were all set for them to start this morning.  When I got home, I found out from Ralph that we would be having dinner with his son Bill and our grandsons Alex and Patrick.  I always love it when we get together with them.

We went to the Seven Star Diner.  That’s where I had the salad as big as my head and the cookie to match it about a month ago.  Only had the salad this time!  Lots of spinach, mushrooms, red onions, feta cheese and balsamic vinaigrette.  Very tasty and lots of fun with Bill and the boys.  Got home and pretty much fell to sleep as soon as I got home at about 9pm.

Woke up to this unique sunrise…

Got to Weight Watchers and sadly, I was not a happy Lifetime member since I gained 1 and 3/4 pounds and had to pay!! 😦 Very frustrating since I thought all week I was doing fairly well.  Today is a new week and I will do better!!

After WW, our little group- Kristen, Pat and Debbie and I went off to the rummage sale to…rummage!  Everybody bought something, except me because I bought everything yesterday!! 😉

We went to the Country House Restaurant for breakfast.  I had a wonderful bowl of oatmeal.  I think they make one of the best bowls of oatmeal in this area.  Very yummy plain with cinnamon and Splenda.  Good coffee too.  We sat for a while and enjoyed our chat.

I missed my morning meditation practice today because of having to be at WW so early.  I’m planning to do it this evening.  I have to be honest…I missed it.  I think that’s probably a good thing, it’s becoming a part of my life and I miss it when it’s not there.  I have 35 days to go and I don’t plan to miss a day.  Day or night doesn’t matter, I just have to do it.

Off now to get back to the rummage sale to help and see what the rest of the day holds. The sun is shining!! Have a beautiful day!

  1. I came, I saw, I rummaged. I came away with some treasures. I was very happy with the brass floor lamp for only $5. Sorry I missed seeing you there.

  2. If it weren’t for you we wouldn’t have had a rummage sale! You’re the best….and…there is home made mac and cheese in your future!
