Thursday was one of those days that gets away from you and suddenly you feel like you’ve accomplished NOTHING! Frustrating…
It started with a hairdresser’s appointment at 9:30. I had a quick breakfast of prunes and Greek yogurt (yum!) and made my coffee to take with me. I hate the sitting waiting to be “naturalized” but I take a book with me (still working on The Girl Who Played with Fire) and having my coffee with me helped.
When I got home, after posting, I thought it might be fun to try to take a photo of my new “do.” Well, as I’ve said before, this whole photography thing is a process, especially trying to take my own photo. They can get pretty scary… 😦
Trying too hard to be cute…
Tried a change of venue…
This is probably the least offensive, but I look like I’m doing one of the moves on my Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds dvd’s! It’s not too bad. Ele always tells me that my nose looks huge when I try to take these photos. I think my nose looks rather average in this one. From reading other blogs, I’ve seen some other large protuberances from other blogger’s photos so I’m not alone. This one will do.
The rest of the day just seemed to drain away. I was on track with food so that’s a plus. I made a wonderful stir fry for dinner using zucchini, eggplant, tomato and edamame served over whole wheat pasta. I was too hungry to take the time to take photos, besides the fact that Ralph was sitting there eating when I was cooking and I didn’t want the “why are you still taking pictures” discussion right then. It was delicious with some crushed red pepper flakes added for a little zing.
I even went snackless while watching “The Big Bang Theory”, my fave! I guess it was a good day all in all.
I did remember something that I should have used yesterday in my post about prunes. There used to be a Sunsweet prunes commercial when they came out with pitted prunes (now how long ago did THAT have to be?!?) It was a Stan Freberg commercial and anyone know who he was (writer, comedian) you can expect it to be hysterical. The commercial ended with the tag line…”Today the pits…Tomorrow the Wrinkles…Sunsweet Marches On!” I don’t know if anyone else remembers that, but I have never forgotten it. Cool memory.
Gotta go get this day started so I have some idea where it went!! 😉
