I am offically tired of the snow!
The only good part about the snow is the fact that I don’t have to drive 25 miles each way to work anymore! If I hadn’t stopped working, I think I would have quit with the third snow storm in just about 3 weeks sitting outside.
The only thing that I’ve added to my list for this year was exercise. Well I actually worked on getting more in yesterday. I’ve been keeping up with my 30 minutes on the stationary bike every morning. I have been doing that for years, even when I had to get up at 3:50AM to get it in before work. I love it because it gives me time to read. I love reading but I always have a hard time fitting it. Now that I’m not working, I’m doing more. One of the few things that I miss from my former commute was that fact that I got to listen to audio books. I just loved the concept and it helped make the drive less tedious. I actually miss them. When I go to the library now, the lady there tells me she misses seeing me as often as she used to. I feel the same way.
So back to the exercise. Last night, I dusted off (literally) my Leslie Sansone “Walk Away the Pounds” videos and dvds along with my hand weights. You never know what you can find under the bed if you look! I decided to start with the one mile walk. I have several different ones which will keep me from getting bored. Amazing how quickly 1 mile goes by and I was finished in no time! I felt good afterward. I think I’ll do the 1 mile for a few days to get myself back up to speed, then move to the 2 and 3 mile workouts. I have several of each so I can’t say I’m getting bored. I didn’t take any exercise photos…it’s never a pretty sight, but maybe after I do it for a while, I’ll share some. Still trying to figure out this whole no room for anything issue. I was able to make about a 4 foot square in the bedroom that allows me to do the workouts. If I could get my eating back on track, it would make the workouts worth it. That’s my mission today, eat right and exercise. Now for a warning…Stand Back, I Take Large Steps!
