I don’t know what today will bring. I’m writing this on Friday afternoon and they tell us a storm (of Biblical proportions again?!) is heading our way. It’s merely cold, damp and dreary and is making these old bones hurt. Don’t know what will happen but I do know that I get a kick out of participating in Snapshot Saturday, the wonderful link up started by Alyce from At Home With Books.
The weather has been getting me down. Most people who know me are pretty sick of me talking about New Mexico and my love for it. Those who have never been to the West probably scratch their heads as to why I think it’s so spectacular there.
There are a lot of reasons but my plan is to keep this short and to the point today.
One of the best reasons for being in New Mexico is that some days when everything works out just right, you get to see sights like this…
The view from the deck off of our kitchen. I have nothing else to say.
Happy Snapshot Saturday! Go visit At Home With Books, check out some great photos!

fran, i wish i could magically transport you to your nm home!!
we DID get a huge storm yesterday, but thankfully i made it to work and back safely…it was treacherous, though!! i am so happy for hot yoga this winter – an hour of florida a day! (speaking of, my parents are going to florida in two weeks for a bit of a holiday…wish i could tag along to MY dream spot!!!).
have a great day, fran!
We were lucky, Cathy and just had a bit of a dusting and an icing. Glad you’re ok, though. The hot yoga sounds like fun. I could have used it this morning, really cold out. Fold yourself up in your Mom’s suitcase and tag along!
I can certainly see why you’d love that view. Beautiful.
Thanks, Louise, it’s amazing. I could take 50 pictures and they would all be unique, all in one sunset.
I have always admired the East Coast in photos and movies, but I prefer living on the “Left Coast.” And the neighboring states, like Arizona and New Mexico, are a treat to behold.
Thanks for sharing…here’s MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT POST
It’s so beautiful, Laurel. Can’t wait to be there permanently. Have a great day.
You don’t need words with a photo like that!!!!!!!!! Spectacular!
Thanks, Staci! It’s one of my favorites!
A scene like that would leave me speechless as well. Stunning!
It was an amazing sunset that night, I think I took about 20 photos that night. Thanks, Trish!
Gorgeous picture! Hope you are staying warm!
Thanks, Katy! It was freezing in the morning, but then the sun made things warmer, thank goodness.
Right now I’d rather be out west too! Instead I’m going to go shovel my driveway
Did you get a lot of snow, Stacie? We were lucky, a bit of snow but mostly icy. Hope you don’t get any more.
What a tremendous view.
Thanks, Irene!
I never thought I’d love the west and the desert until my first experience in the late 90s in Arizona. Since then we have visited the west many times and I really, really loved NM!!
We are wintering this year in Las Vegas and loving every moment!
Hi Jackie! We just love NM. Ralph’s aunt is spending the winter in LV too, she loves it there. Enjoy your stay!
Lovely!
Thanks, Susan!
Gorgeous!
Thanks, Vicki!
